Television was created in 1926 by the scottish John Baird. At the beginning in black and white, it was reserved to the richest. Nowadays everyone has at least one television set in their house. TV is considered as an essential technology.
One the hand TV is a tool of learning for the children, and a tool of entertainment and information for adult people.
On the other hand, it can be negative for the children.
Indeed, with TV, the youngers can learn a lot of things. They develop their critical sens and their knowledge.
Moreover, TV can inform adults too, about world's events, thanks to documentaries, sports broadcasts, the weather forcast, for example.
However, TV doesn't have only positive points. According to several studies, TV is synonymous of violence transmitted to children. Parents don't respect the warning about minimum ages allowed. Children trivalize violence and can be violent with the other children, in order to act as what they see in TV.
In a word, TV has positive and negative points, but all depends of what you watch. In my opinion, parents should be more attentive of what children watch.
