- when i was young, i wanted to be a pilot
- last night i dropt a plate when i was doing the washing up. fortunately it didn't broke
Mes réponses ne sont aps absolues, amsi ça devrait te faire un point de départ:
- what were you doing at this time yesterday? i was asleep --> J'étais endormi? Je dirais plutôt "Je dormais"
- how fast was you driving when the accident happend --> you WAS?
- sam was taking a photograph of me while i wasn't looking --> Sam prenait mon photographe?
-we were in a difficult position. we (not/know) what to do --> We don't know, c'est du présent. Au passé, tu conjugues do, tu rajoutes n't et tu gardes know
- i haven't seen alan for ages. when i last saw him, he was trying to find a job --> I saw him (dans l'ordre)
- i was walking along the street when suddenly i heard footsteps behind me. somebody was following me. i was scared and i started to run. --> Celle-là, elle me semble cool...
- when i was young, i wanted to be a pilot --> Nickel aussi.
- last night i dropt a plate when i was doing the washing up. fortunately it didn't broke --> "doing the washing up", je le trouve louche, mais je ne saurais me prononcer ni proposer mieux...
- what were you doing at this time yesterday? i was asleep --> J'étais endormi? Je dirais plutôt "Je dormais"
Sorry Daf', you're wrong on this one, 'I was asleep' fits perfectly.
- sam was taking a photograph of me while i wasn't looking --> Sam prenait mon photographe?
Then again Daf', you're translating it wrong. The sentence is correct as it was originaly written.
- i haven't seen alan for ages. when i last saw him, he was trying to find a job --> I saw him (dans l'ordre)
Daf', you're wrong again. 'When I last saw' is a widely used expression.
- last night i dropt a plate when i was doing the washing up. fortunately it didn't broke --> "doing the washing up", je le trouve louche, mais je ne saurais me prononcer ni proposer mieux...
To drop is a regular verb.
'it didn't broke': Ho? ça ne s'est pas cassait?
Inifinitif avec do!
